The Me Inside....

I honestly never thought much about this friendship.  I’ve always known she was different. That she needed someone who listen. That I needed to be there for her every now and then. She was the odd one out. Noone at work really wanna be her friend, because she’s so different. She’s quirky and “weird” to this world “standard”.  As someone who abhor having visitor in my home, somehow I felt a nudge to not say no to her. Honestly, it wasn’t easy for me. I struggled a lot whenever she told me she wanted to come for coffee…… but something inside always pushed me to say yes. I even initiated our catch up sometimes when I felt she needed to vent. She was the only person I welcomed in my home in a regular basis. Mostly once a month or once every 2 months for the last 4 years. We just had coffee, and mostly I let her talk. We’d normally spent 2-3 hours sitting on the dining table.  As my time with AvSec came to an end, I came home today with this letter in my letterbox. To be fair,...
