The Me Inside....

Didn't throw big party like last year, but this year Onya got to blew 3 candles from 3 different cakes on 3 different occasions :) Kue pertama was a surprise cake from Abo. All the way from Bali. Blew the candle at Opa and Ama's house on her birthday. Second cake, I bought it and blew this at school. Nice, simple and warm celebration. Third cake, Bought di Harvest buat ditiup bareng cici Ubi pas makan2 keluarga the following Saturday. Ps. Kue harvest-nya belum bisa diupload, krn adanya di kamera uncle ucok.

Decided to do it myself two weeks before the big day. Kalang kabut nyari vendor.. Thanking my brother yg uda bantuin dgn prentelan2 dan tahan sama kebawelan adenya. Thanking Andi juga udah bantuin nempelin double-tape. Thanking my mamih yg uda nemenin sini sono. Thanking Abo buat masukan2-nya. Isinya very simple: - Sports Towel - Customized Mug - KinderJoy Chocolate - Marsmellows - Skittles - Customized hard box Emang sebenernya highlight-nya anduk n mug. Niatnya biar kepake. Box-nya juga kan bisa dipake buat nyimpen2. Kalo makanannya mah cuma "side-dish" aja niatnya. Walo 2 malem tidur subuh... Cukup menyenangkan ternyata. The hardest part-nya itu bagian motong2 buat bikin tempelan box-nya. Astaga... So time consuming!! Tapi rasanya, hasilnya not bad for a first timer.

Exactly 12 hours from now, my baby will turn 2!! Welcome Terrific Two!! Two years ago, at this hour - I wondered whether the funny feeling was a real contraction. It surely was! Was in labour for 13 hours, and on July 23rd 2010.. Voila! There she was! I didn't have a "teary-touchy" moment when I held her for the very first time. I guess I was just happy that the labour has finally stopped and that she's perfect. My first "OMG! I'm a mom!" moment happened that night. Andi was sleeping and Onya cried incessantly. Tried everything I could to calm her down. I failed. .... Until I let her sleep on my chest and I sang "centre of it all" by Hillsong United UK. She calmed down immediately and that was the first time I realize that I'm a mother and felt an unending stream of love flowing out from me to her. Almost literally. A blink of an eye, and she's turning two in less than 12 hours!!! A blessing indeed. She changes my life. In a very...
