Life

Lagi mellow, as mostly.
Here I am, sitting in a coffee shop all by myself.
Just dropped the kid and the husband to Ice Age Live. It's my treat to them.
Took the most expensive package for them to enjoy.

So this got me thinking, again.
I truly have a good life.
Im in love with this city, regardless of the weather.
My journey to get here is nothing but based on one word. Believe.

I am where I am, because I never stop believing. Even when all seems impossible.
The one true God that I serve, kept His promise. My life is nothing but a series of glory after glory after glory. Not mine. His.

I may not be a zealous church goer (anymore). I may not be that girl yg aktif pelayanan di gereja, but I know that Im in a very good term with God. He is not a distant God. I can be myself comfortably with Him. I can "yell" at Him when Im mad, I can cry my heart out, I can laugh.

I look around and I feel bad for people who are so caught up with church. They're too busy being a "martha" that they forget the true essense of being a christian... Which is being a "mary" who's able to sit comfortable enough at His feet doing literally nothing.

The "marthas" of this world, feel entitled enough to pass judgement to other people. Well just because you're doing all the "serving" doesn't mean you're always right.

In the big scheme of things, we gotta be able to stop. Stop. Stop. Freeze and just.... Well, stop.
Stop our doing. Stop our thinking. Stop our judgement.

Sometimes people just need to stop. Seriously. There are better things in life.
I followed this page in Instagram called The Humans of New York. The last series was about kids with cancer. Really that got me thinking. What those parents (and kids) are going through... I can't even imagine. I shed so much tears reading it.

I HATE it when people say someone "lost the battle to cancer". Well, they're NOT defeated. They don't "lose" the battle.
They fought hard. Just because they die at the end, it doesn't mean that they're defeated. It simply means, they die. Some of them are wise enough to not want to fight anymore. Some are finding it hard to let go, and when they finally do.... Well if anything, I call that bravery.

So no. They dont lose the battle. The cancer did not win.

So what trully matters?

I feel sorry for the Atheists. Not because I judge them for believing that there is no God. *it really is not my place to judge*.... But life is so, so, sooo fragile. Sometimes things happen outside your control, and if that happen... if you dont believe in God, then how are you gonna cope? Where do you draw your strength from?

Just a couple of days ago, I found out one of Sonia's friend has stage 5 cancer. That wee girl has cancer on both her kidneys, one is inoperable. As if that's not enough, she has more than 20 tumours in her lungs.

It's so heartbreaking. You know the girl. She came to Sonia's party, and we just met her at the beginning of this month at another friend's birthday party. Then the next thing you know, she's in Christchurch doing chemo.

It really make you think about life, aye. What really matters?

Bucket List

Yep. Been hearing a lot about people dropped dead suddenly. Mulai dari si Adjie Masaid, babenya si Joshua, then just now Emma's friend juga Dadaism died of heart attack. She was 29 years old, just got ,arrayed last October. Life is so fragile. That's why I really hate Andi each time I have to remind him over and over again about healthy lifestyle. Anyway, decided to make a bucket list for myself. 1. Back to NZ 2. Sky dive 3. Vacation to Russia 4. Having more than enough funds for Onya to pursue her degree in England, Oxford University preferably :) 5. Ngeliat Andi punya bodi keren 6. Buying a house for my parents 7. Karet tengsin dijual Hmmm....... Belon kepikiran yg lawn. Nanti di update lg deh

Lavender and Butterfly

My very first (and probably my last) tattoo. Why lavender ?  Because I love the smell.  I love the colour.  Lavender is pretty much the only plant that stays alive in my garden. It thrives in pretty much any weather with very little care. It lives with a big bunch of other lavenders but it can also lives on its own little bundle. It shows strength, and grace. Butterfly means beauty. Not just superficial beauty... but beauty after a storm. Beauty that was earned.  Like, after it went through struggles from a cocoon. Plus, you see butterfly (normally) in a great weather. Adds the beauty to the surroundings, like a balance in the universe.  Psalm 23:6 , is what I really resonate in my life.  That no matter what, no matter where, no matter how many bad decisions I’ve made.... God’s goodness and mercy is always with me. That I’m okay. That the God who made the universe loves me still.  That regardless how fucked up I am, His goodness and mercy is always wi...

A Wife's Heart

Postingan kali ini buat Andi. Feel so blessed beyond words punya suami kaya beliau. Walo banyak rese n nyebelinnya juga. He works really hard. I mean REALLY hard. I know I've complained about him being too busy, but lately he changed. Yes, dia masih sibuk banget di kantor. Yes, dia masih suka 'nyetrap' gw di mobil suru tunggu. Tapi I know that family is his top priority. The house is almost done. Andi spent hours last Sat and Sun buat bebersih rumah. Gw ga boleh ikut. "masih debuan banget" - gitu katanya. He knows Im allergic to dust and frankly, what can a pregnant woman possibly do? Ga mungkin juga kan gw ngangkat2 furniture. Naek tangga aja suka engap. Dapet laporan dari Otoy, Andi ngangkat2 barang ampe mukanya merah, ampe kringetan ngeces2... Gw tau dia pasti cape banget. Tapi begitu pulang he brought nothing but his big, warm smile. "Udah. Nanti gw sekali lagi kesana, finalize bersih2 - then you can come. Tuh gw beliin kelapa, mau diminum sekarang ga?...
