Ketinggalan di draft and belon di publish..
I think I wrote this during the China earthquake several months ago.

If only the everybody has this kinda mentality.

People are rushing to donate money.
Many rich people donated in millions,
but no one can match Xu Chao(徐超), 60.
He is a homeless in Nanjing, 1000 miles from the disaster area.
He saw the news and went to donate 5 Yuan in the morning.
He said people in the disaster area were worse off than him because their lives were threatened.
He came back in the afternoon, donated another 100 Yuan ($14).
He explained that all he had were pennies and dimes,
and he didn’t want to waste volunteer workers’ time to count them,
so he went to the bank to change everything he had into one big bill.
This is from a man who doesn’t have money to buy food for himself.

Now, in the papers, you read of riots in some rural parts of Indonesia,
and impending lifting of subsidies in so many other countries…
you read that there are restrictions on outreach programmes to victims of the cyclone,
and then you read of the Chinese are struggling to start over whilst mourning for their lost…
Then!
You flip to our main papers,
and you see the orang2 kaya stand with each other in their expensive suits holding a printed mock cheque in colourful bold headings.
They donate money and they want people to know they've given.
Its sad how the rich are so good at demanding and yet so lousy at giving.
It's sad that the rich are in fact, poor.
And the poor... are in fact rich.
